No matter how healthy a person is or is not, no matter what historical era they are from or what country they live in, death will claim their lives. Except for Jesus. He is the only person to have died a real death, rise himself from the grave, and never taste death again. It is because of this fact that Jesus alone is called the Savior. Come to TCM’s Bible study “Jesus: More Powerful Than Death” and learn how exactly Jesus defeated death and of his promise of eternal life to all those who call him their Savior. "Jesus: More Powerful Than Instinct" Bible Study

The survival instinct is one of the strongest forces within a person. Doctors see it kick in when a person is on the verge of life and death. Individuals feel it kick in before they do a dangerous feat. Soldiers learn to harness it so as to do their duty and protect their country. Yet a person’s survival instinct is not all-powerful. Come to TCM’s Bible study “Jesus: More Powerful Than Instinct” as we consider how Jesus purposefully overrode his survival instinct so as to die on the cross for the sins of all people. This Bible study will also help you prepare for the following week’s joy of Easter.

These and more are all found in the Old Testament book of Jonah. Yet the point of Jonah’s book is not to wow us with these miraculous events, but rather to show us the power of God’s love. You are invited to TCM’s “Pizza & A Prophet: Jonah” as we eat a pizza dinner, learn about Jonah’s book, and marvel at God’s powerful love which extends even to his enemies.

It builds from the actual stories and passages of the Bible (the writings of Moses and the prophets as well as the further explanations in the New Testament).
